Maksim Medvedev: "Qarabag" can compete head-to-head with rivals other than "Chelsea" and "Liverpool"

In the main stage of the UEFA Champions League, it is possible to compete head-to-head with other rivals besides Chelsea and Liverpool.

This was stated by the former captain of Aghdam club Maksim Medvedev in an interview with "Report".

He believes that the "stallions" will achieve successful results in the tournament:

"The team wants to achieve the best success it can under the leadership of Gurban Gurbanov. Of course, meetings with Chelsea and Liverpool will not be easy. It is possible to compete head-to-head with the remaining teams. I believe that "Qarabag" will be able to do this. Because Aghdam club never looks at the opponent and plays the game. This team has its own playing style and will show its skills".

The specialist evaluated the team's new transfers:

"A large number of foreign football players have been involved in the team. Our representative will join the Champions League as a stronger club. Because the new legionnaires who have come to the team are gaining strength. If the start is good, I think the tournament will continue normally for us. In addition, we will see an increase in the strength of the players from game to game. In this case, we will encounter surprising results."

It should be noted that Maksim Medvedev is currently the head coach of the Qarabag U-21 team. He played for the "stallions" from 2006 to 2024 and competed in the group stage of the Champions League in the 2017/2018 season.
