"The fact that "Qarabağ" defeated "Benfica" away does not mean that they will easily win against "Copenhagen" at home." These words were said by former Azerbaijani national football player Mahmud Qurbanov in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 52-year-old former midfielder spoke about the match that will take place in the second round of the League stage of the UEFA Champions League:
"The opponent is a team that fights very well. Let's take into account that there are no weak teams in the Champions League. They are also aware of how many quality football players there are in the "Qarabağ" squad.
M.Qurbanov also said that he expects victory from the Azerbaijani champion:
"In any case, "Qarabağ" is waiting for a difficult game at home. Despite all this, I expect our team to win at home. If the Azerbaijani champion finishes this meeting with a victory, it will be a very good result. I expect this great result from "Qarabağ".
It should be noted that the "Qarabağ" - "Copenhagen" game, which will be held on October 1 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, will start at 20:45.
