"Sabah" has a chance to qualify for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.
This was stated by the former football player and coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Mahmud Gurbanov, in an interview with "Report".
The expert believes that the head coach of the Azerbaijani representative, who will be hosted by "Sele" in Slovenia today, has carried out the necessary analysis:
"Although "Sele" won the first match, they have weaknesses. I think that the head coach of "Sabah" analyzed the opponent after the first game. "Sabah" has a chance to qualify for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. In any case, it is our country's team. That's why I will support them."
M. Gurbanov emphasized that "Sabah" is not behind "Sele" in terms of the game:
"Although "Sabah" lost the first game at home, the chances are equal. The team played two different halves at home. In the first half, they showed a better, more meaningful and attacking game. They kept the opponent under pressure. They forced "Sele"'s defenders to lose the ball. At the same time, they created goal opportunities and distinguished themselves. They were not behind "Sele" at all. But in the second half, they seemed to retreat to the center and tried to keep the score. In this case, they gave the opponent a wide area and created conditions for a comfortable attack. I would say that "Sele"'s attacks were not accidental, but deliberate. Since their head coach is Spanish, they played football in accordance with the style of that country. "Sabah" could not take advantage of the goal opportunities they created in the second half. As a result, they conceded a goal near the end of the match."
It should be noted that the UEFA Europa League I qualifying round match "Sele" - "Sabah" will start today at 22:00 Baku time.
