"Nuremberg" sporting director Joti Chatzialexio has spoken about Azerbaijani national team member Mahir Emreli leaving the team at the end of the season.
QOL.az reports that in a statement on the club's official website, he said that they had reached an agreement not to extend the contract with the 28-year-old striker:
"It is important for us to reach a decision as soon as possible regarding players whose contracts are expiring. Together with Mahir, we agreed not to continue our relationship after the summer. We would like to thank Mahir for his efforts this season, especially for his dedication. We wish him all the best."
It should be noted that Mahir Emreli moved to "Nuremberg" last summer. In the current season, he has played 23 matches in all tournaments for the German representative, scoring 8 goals and providing 1 assist.
