Mahir Emreli, the football player of the Azerbaijani national team and "Kaiserslautern," spoke about the head coach of our national team, Aykhan Abbasov.
The 28-year-old striker said that it is comfortable to play under the leadership of A.Abbasov.
"After Gurban Gurbanov, Aykhan Abbasov is the second local coach I have worked with in the national team. It is more comfortable to work with a local coach. Because our understanding of each other, his knowing us, and our knowing him plays a big role. This is also felt in football matches, in moments during the game.
When there are tactics, technique, desire, and struggle, it is possible to achieve results. We see how much our head coach cares about us. The football player also wants to give it back to the coach that much. It is really a pleasure to work with Aykhan muellim. I think that every member of the national team thinks like me. Each of us wants to change something, to do something in football for our country, our nation, our people. I really hope that we will be able to do this together with Aykhan muellim," he said in a video interview with qol.az.
It should be noted that M.Emreli has been a member of the Azerbaijani national team since 2017. A.Abbasov has been coaching our team since September of last year.
