According to the "Daily Mail", Manchester United defender Harry Maguire is trying to resolve the case related to the fight that took place in Greece in 2020.
At the beginning of the scandal, Maguire was repeatedly offered to bribe police officers 50,000 euros to settle the case.
However, the English footballer firmly rejected the offer, demanding that his name be cleared. This led to him appearing in court again on Wednesday, March 4, and his sentence being upheld. The court sentenced him to a 15-month suspended prison sentence.
The incident happened in Mykonos. Maguire and his friends got into a fight with other Englishmen at a local bar. After the police arrived, the defender's group attacked the officers. As a result of the incident, the footballer and two of his friends were arrested and taken to the police station.
