Maccabi Tel Aviv football club has announced its decision to refuse to give tickets to its fans for the Europa League match against Aston Villa.
Idman.Biz reports that the Aston Villa - Maccabi Tel Aviv match in the Europa League will be held on November 6 at Villa Park in Birmingham.
"The well-being and safety of our fans is paramount. Based on bitter experience, we have decided to reject all applications from fans wishing to attend our away match against Aston Villa. Our decision should be understood in this context," the club's official website said in a statement.
The decision was made despite the intervention of the UK government.
It is worth recalling that the Birmingham club refused to allow Maccabi fans to the international match due to concerns about the safety of spectators and local residents, as well as fear of protests against Israeli policy.
