Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister spoke about his goals for 2026 ahead of their match against Galatasaray in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

"Winning the Champions League is my current dream. There is also the World Cup this year, so why not win both? Our team is capable of winning the Champions League, but I am sure that the upcoming match will be very difficult," Mac Allister told UEFA's official website.
According to the results of the main stage, Liverpool is third in the Champions League tournament table, and Galatasaray is 20th and defeated Juventus (5:2, 2:3) in the play-offs.
The final of this year's tournament will be held on May 30, 2026, at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
