French club "Lyon" needs to find 100 million euros to appeal the decision to relegate them to Ligue 2.
According to "Report", the country's "Lequipe" publication reported this.
The appeal must be filed on July 10, and that amount must be in the club's accounts. "Lyon" must also guarantee that it will receive another 100 million euros by the end of the 2025/2026 season.
The funds are planned to be obtained from prize money or player sales.
It should be noted that "Lyon" finished sixth in Ligue 1 in the 2024/2025 season with 57 points and qualified for the Europa League. The club was relegated to the second division due to violations in its financial statements.
