Daniel Santos, the head coach of the Luxembourg women's national football team, has been dismissed from his post due to inappropriate messages.
According to "Report", the Luxembourg Football Federation's press service reported this.
It was reported that the specialist is accused of sending inappropriate messages to several players of the national team, and some players have complained about his behavior.
The federation's statement emphasized that such behavior contradicts ethical values and principles of mutual respect. As soon as the allegations became known, immediate measures were taken to protect the players and ensure the integrity of the sports environment. The collected evidence and the players' loss of trust in the coach made future cooperation impossible.
44-year-old Santos had been the head coach of the Luxembourg women's national team since August 2020. During his leadership, the team failed to qualify for either the World Cup or the European Championship.
