Granada goalkeeper Luka Zidane has been called up to the Algerian national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches.
Lent.az reports that this was announced on the website of the Algerian Football Federation.
Luka is the son of Zinedine Zidane, a former Juventus and Real Madrid player. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has previously played for the French youth teams. He has 30 international appearances and a victory at the 2015 European Under-17 Championship.
Two weeks ago, FIFA confirmed the change of the Granada player's sporting citizenship from France to Algeria.
The Algerian national team will play Somalia on October 9 and Uganda on October 14.
