Milan midfielder Luka Modric has spoken about the coaches he has worked with throughout his career and revealed who was the toughest. Sport24.az reports that the Croatian star, who currently plays for Milan, made a statement to Corriere della Sera:
"Mourinho is special both as a coach and as a person. He was the one who invited me to Real Madrid. I could never have been there without him. Unfortunately, we were only able to work together with the Portuguese specialist for one season."
To the question "Who is the toughest coach among Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Massimiliano Allegri?" the Croatian footballer answered:
"Mourinho. Once in the dressing room, he made Cristiano Ronaldo cry with his words. The football player who puts all his energy on the field. The reason was that Ronaldo did not run after the defender until the end in one episode.
Mourinho is very open and at the same time honest with his players. It didn't matter to him whether it was Sergio Ramos or a new transfer in front of him. He treated everyone the same, if he needed to say something, he would say it. Allegri is like that too. He tells you directly to your face what is right and what is wrong."
