Croatian national team midfielder and captain Luka Modrić could play in his fifth World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that Zlatko Dalić's team qualified for the 2026 World Cup thanks to a 3:1 victory over the Faroe Islands in the qualifying round.
The Milan midfielder first participated in the World Cup in 2006 at the age of 20. Croatia failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, but in 2018 and 2022 the Balkan nation reached the final and semi-final of the tournament, winning silver and bronze medals.
Luka Modrić has played 190 games for the national team and is the record holder for this number.
