Milan midfielder Luka Modrić, in the 3rd round of Serie A against Bologna, not only scored (1:0) to earn his team 3 points but also achieved another unique feat. Sport24.az, citing the Opta portal, reports that the 40-year-old Croatian became the oldest player to score in the Italian championship.
The previous record belonged to former Milan midfielder Nils Lindholm. He became the "oldest goalscorer" by putting his name on the scoreboard in 1961.
It should be noted that Modrić signed a 1-year contract with Milan this summer.
