Luis Enrique, currently "at the helm" of PSG, answered a question about the best footballer in history before the quarter-final match of the Club World Cup against Inter Miami. The Spanish specialist gave an explanation to "All About Argentina" about this:
"Without a doubt, for me, Lionel Messi is the best footballer in history. The peak of his career lasted 10-15 years. He is the standard for the greatest player in history. It's amazing that he has performed at the highest level every three days for years.
I have seen Messi show a different level in training compared to others, doing incredible things."
Note that Enrique was Messi's head coach at Barcelona. Inter Miami, where Lionel currently plays, will face PSG, coached by Enrique, today.
