Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente spoke about his relationship with "Barcelona" and the Royal Football Federation after the controversy surrounding Lamin Yamal. He made a statement to "Sport.es" about this:
There is no conflict with "Barcelona" and the Royal Football Federation. Each side simply has its own interests, but they lead to the same goal. "Barcelona" wants to have a good season and we are trying to qualify for the World Cup. We always cooperate with clubs through the Federation, we pay attention to the health of the players. Therefore, there is no conflict with "Barcelona" and there cannot be.
I simply demand that my decisions be treated with respect. I spoke to Lamin yesterday. We discussed everything, then he left the camp. He wanted to stay, it was his wish, but it was not possible. We said goodbye, he thanked me and said goodbye to all his teammates.
