Mexican national team goalkeeper Luis Angel Malagón will miss this year's World Cup.
"Report" reports with reference to ESPN that this is due to a rupture of the Achilles tendon of the 29-year-old football player.
The goalkeeper, who plays for the country's "America" club, was injured in the CONCACAF Champions Cup match against the US team "Philadelphia". He will undergo surgery and the recovery period will depend on the rehabilitation process.
