Nicolas de Tavernost, CEO of LFP Media, has announced plans to introduce audio announcements of VAR decisions in stadiums and for television viewers. Sport24.az reports that he spoke about this in an interview with the newspaper "L'Equipe".
Tests are expected to be carried out by the end of this season. The Board of Directors is expected to approve this innovation in mid-April.
Funksoner also stated that the VAR system in League 1 costs 3.7 million euros, with an additional 1.4 million euros spent on goal-line technology.
De Tavernost emphasized that due to budget constraints, the introduction of a video replay system in the French second division is not expected for the next season either.
