This defeat is the English club's fourth consecutive away defeat in all competitions, their worst record since April 2012. Arne Slot's team had previously lost to Galatasaray (0:1), Brighton (1:2) and Manchester City (0:4).
The return match between Liverpool and PSG will be held on April 14 at Anfield. The winning team will face the winner of the Bayern Munich – Real Madrid tie.
