English club "Liverpool" has paid the amount that the late football player Diogo Jota should have received under the contract to his family.
"Report" reports that the club's head coach, Arne Slot, said this in a statement to TNT.
The Mersyside representative gave the money intended for the remaining two years of the contract to the attacker's relatives.
According to reports in the British press, this amount is equal to 10 million pounds.
It should be noted that the member of the Portuguese national team died in a car accident on July 3 with his brother Andre Silva. Jota, who has been playing for Liverpool since 2020, is remembered for 65 goals and 26 productive passes in 182 games. He won the English Premier League with the team in the 2024/2025 season.
