As a result of the draw for the 2026/2027 season of the UEFA Nations League, Lithuania, which will be the opponent of the Azerbaijani national team, will host our national team in Kaunas, the second largest city in the country.

The information notes that the match will be held in Kaunas, at the "Darius and Girenas Stadium".
The meeting will take place on September 27 and will start at 17:00 Baku time.
It should be noted that the "Darius and Girenas Stadium" located in Kaunas is considered the largest and most modern stadium in the city. It has a capacity of approximately 15,000 spectators and is one of the main venues for international games in Lithuania.
The stadium was completely renovated in 2022 and brought into line with UEFA standards. The Lithuanian national team plays its home games here.
The arena is named after the pilots Steponas Darius and Stasis Girenas, who died while crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and is considered one of the city's main sports symbols.
