The MLS Players Association has published the ranking of league players' salaries for October.
Idman.Biz reports that Inter Miami striker Lionel Messi remains the highest-paid player in the league. He earns $20.4 million a year.
In second place is Son Heung-min, who moved to Los Angeles last summer ($11.2 million per year). Inter Miami midfielder Sergio Busquets is in third place ($8.8 million per year).
The top five also include Miguel Almiron (Atlanta United, $6.1 million) and Irving Lozano (San Diego, $6 million).
Inter Miami spends the most money on player salaries in the MLS - $48.97 million. Los Angeles is second ($30.1 million) and Atlanta is third ($28.48 million). Montreal Impact spends the least on salaries ($12.92 million).
