A new era begins at the Brazilian football club "Flamengo". The team's new head coach, Leonardo Jardim, has signed an official contract.
İdman.Biz reports that the experienced specialist has already met with football director Xose Boto at the club's base. During the meeting, Xose Boto presented the Portuguese coach with the club's symbol, the "Manto Sagrado" (Sacred Mantle).
The Portuguese head coach's contract with "Flamengo" is expected to last until December 2027.

Immediately after signing, Leonardo Jardim held his first training session with the team at the "George Helal" training center. He arrived at the club with a large support staff. Jardim's team includes assistant coaches Antoniu Vieira, Joze Barros, and Dioqu Dias.

Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Jardim, who has previously worked on many successful projects in Europe, will perform at the Brazilian giant.

It should be noted that a few days ago, the team's head coach Filipe Luis officially left his post under unprecedented circumstances. The resignation decision was announced immediately after the 8-0 victory over "Madureira". Despite the team's high productivity, the club's board of directors approved the pre-planned resignation.
