The legionnaire limit will also change in the I League in the new season. According to information obtained by Sport24.az, those who lead the country's football have decided to take this step, taking into account that they want to raise the level of the lower division and that the team that will rise to the elite at the end of the 2025/26 "football year" will be ready for the Premier League.
According to the information received by our editorial office, the limit in the I League will be "8+3" in the next season. That is, teams will be able to use the services of 8 legionnaires at the same time. This issue will be brought up at the next meeting of the Executive Committee.
It should be noted that the current limit in the I League is in the form of "8+3". Each team can have a maximum of 3 foreigners on the field.
