Qarabagh winger Leandro Andrade gave an interview to journalists after their 2:1 victory over Turan Tovuz in the VIII round of the Misli Premier League.
The midfielder also answered questions from a Sport24.az employee.
- Although you fell behind in the score, you won. What can you say about the match?
– We knew it would be a difficult game. That's how it turned out. Turan Tovuz is a good team. The tournament table also gives reason to say this. This match was a test for the next game in the Champions League. It is good to face a strong team today. The main thing is that we won 3 points, I am happy for that.
- You were behind in the score in the first half. What changed at halftime?
– I can't say here what tasks the head coach gave us. He just told us how to play.
- Your next match in the main stage of the Champions League will be against Athletic in Spain. What are your expectations from this match?
- I don't think there is any need for additional thoughts about the opponent. Everyone knows their strength and level. I think it will be a difficult meeting. We will just go out and try to enjoy the match as in previous games. We will play in a stadium with a great atmosphere and we have to show our game.
- You managed to stand out in the match with Benfica in Portugal, would you like to score a goal in Spain as well?
– Of course I want to score a goal. Who wouldn't want to help their team? But whether I will score or not, only God knows.
- The Cabo Verde national team qualified for the World Cup. It is said that you refused the national team. If you get an invitation, will you go?
– Yes, I refused. This is such a matter that I have not thought about it yet. Therefore, I cannot comment on this topic at the moment.
