"We are fighting for the championship against a very strong team. We know that we have to be at our best level to become champions."
This was stated by Qarabag midfielder Leandro Andrade in an interview with futbolinfo.az.
We present the interview.
– There were discussions that you have not been playing at a high level lately. Do you agree with this?
– Actually, I understand very well that I need to improve. I respect all opinions. It is in my character that I don't necessarily need to read comments or listen to discussions to understand what I need to improve in my game. I am my own biggest critic. Even if people say that I played well, I don't fully believe it and I always find many things in my game that I need to improve. The most important thing for me is to work on myself, improve my skills and listen to what my coach says.
– What are your thoughts on the chances of winning the championship?
– We are fighting for the championship against a very strong team. We know that we have to be at our best level to become champions. Our goal is to win 3 points from every game: win the game, recover, train and try to win 3 points again in the next game... I think our approach will be to move forward game by game.
– There will be both championship and cup fights with "Sabah". Will this increase the competition and principle between you?
– It is clear that playing 5 games against the same team in one season increases the competition even more. I think it's good for football to have sports competition and big football games. I personally enjoy playing against "Sabah". Because I believe that two teams that play good football face each other in these games. I look forward to these matches.
