Barcelona president Joan Laporta has responded to Real Madrid's discontent with the La Liga Round 17 match between Villarreal and Barcelona being held in the USA.
Idman.Biz reports that Real Madrid has reportedly appealed to the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) to prevent the match from taking place.
"We are used to these kinds of things. The issue of the match being held in Miami was previously agreed upon with the league and Villarreal. We accept it calmly. We will delight our fans in Miami and the USA.
"Real Madrid is free to do what it wants, and I won't interfere. I am the president of Barcelona, and Real Madrid does what it knows. We will continue to implement what has been decided and we will not get into arguments," Laporta said.
