Barcelona president Joan Laporta has expressed his expectations for the renovated Camp Nou.
According to Idman.Biz, the reconstruction of the arena began in 2023 and has not yet been completed. The stadium has been hosting matches since November.
"We are incredibly proud. This will be the best and biggest stadium in Europe. It is designed for approximately 105,000 people. It is comfortable, safe and commercially attractive. We want major finals to be held here. We would very much like the 2029 Champions League final to be held at Camp Nou. By that time, the arena will be completed and will be a real gift. It would be great to host the 2030 World Cup final there. It will be the best stadium in the world," Sport.es quoted Laporta as saying.
