Lamine Yamal has been named the best young player of the year according to France Football. Sport24.az reports that the 18-year-old winger of "Barcelona" and the Spanish national team won the Raymond Kopa Trophy at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony.
The Spanish footballer has won this award for the second time in a row.
Players under the age of 21 can claim this award. In the voting, Yamal surpassed Pau Cubarsí ("Barcelona"), Ayyoub Bouaddi ("Lille"), Désiré Doué ("PSG"), Estevão ("Chelsea" / "Palmeiras"), Dina-Ebimbe ("Real" / "Bournemouth"), Myles Lewis-Skelly ("Arsenal"), Rodrigo Mora ("Porto"), João Neves ("PSG") and Kenan Yıldız ("Juventus").
