As part of the 7th round of the Spanish La Liga, "Atletico Madrid" thrashed "Real" at home.
According to "Report", the Madrid derby held at the Metropolitano stadium ended with a score of 5:2.
The winners' goals were scored by Robin Le Norman (14th minute), Alexander Sorlot (45+3), Julian Alvarez (50, penalty; 64) and Antoine Griezmann (90+4). Kilian Mbappe (25) and Arda Guler (36) scored for Real Madrid.
"Real Madrid" faced their first defeat of the season. Xabi Alonso's team had previously won six times in the Spanish championship and once in the Champions League.
"Real Madrid" leads the tournament table with 18 points. "Atletico Madrid" has risen to fourth place, Diego Simeone's team has 12 points. "Real Madrid" will host "Villarreal" on October 4 in the next round, and "Atletico Madrid" will face "Celta" away the next day.
The teams will also play in the Champions League next week.
