AFFA Appeals Arbitration Tribunal has announced its decisions. Sport24.az reports with reference to the official website of the organization that the appeal filed by the Turan Tovuz club has been partially satisfied.
The decision of the Disciplinary Committee dated February 11, 2026, on banning Kurban Berdyev, the head coach of Turan Tovuz, from 4 matches for insulting the referees after receiving a direct red card for pushing the referee in the 64th minute of the first leg of the 1/4 final of the Azerbaijan Cup, Turan Tovuz - Kapaz game, and fining the Turan Tovuz team 10,000 manats, has been cancelled.
In accordance with Article 2 of the Regulations of the Appeals Arbitration Tribunal, the actions of Kurban Berdyev, the head coach of Turan Tovuz, were qualified under Article 53.1 of the Disciplinary Code, and Kurban Berdyev's punishment was reduced to 3 matches. The Turan Tovuz club was fined 6,000 manats.
The rest of the appeal was not satisfied.
