Uncertainty surrounds the head coach position at "Turan Tovuz."
Idman.biz, citing Sport24.az, reports that "Turan Tovuz" head coach Kurban Berdyev is not answering calls from the management.
A meeting between the club management and the head coach was supposed to take place on June 1st or 2nd. Plans for the new season were to be outlined at the meeting, and decisions regarding the formation of the new squad were to be made. However, there has been no word from Berdyev, who went to Russia at the end of the season. Officials have tried to contact the 72-year-old specialist several times these days, but it has been impossible. Berdyev is not answering calls from Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that "Turan Tovuz," coached by Berdyev, finished the 2024/25 season in 4th place and remained outside the European Cups.
