KuPS has become the Finnish champion for the eighth time in its history.
According to İdman.Biz, this happened with one round remaining until the end of the championship group.
In the regular season, KuPS finished fourth among 12 teams, qualifying for the championship group of six teams. Currently, the "yellow-blacks" have 64 points, and "Ilves" in second place with 60 points has lost the chance to overtake them. "Inter Turku" is in third place with 58 points.
KuPS also won the Finnish championship last season. This championship will allow the team to participate in the first qualifying round of the next Champions League tournament.
