The French national team's goal is to win tomorrow's match against Azerbaijan in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that this was stated by French national team footballer Ibrahima Konate at a pre-match press conference.
He said that they will try to enjoy the match:
"I don't know if I will be the captain. The game can be difficult. We try to enjoy it. Our goal is to win and expand statistics. In the first game, the Azerbaijan national team surprised us. I know maybe you will criticize me for these thoughts. Whatever happens tomorrow, we have already secured a ticket to the final stage of the 2026 World Cup."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-France match will start on November 16 at 21:00 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium.
