Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has commented on a possible transfer of his team's midfielder Leon Goretzka to Atletico Madrid.
According to Idman.biz, Kompany noted that he would have to discuss this transfer with the club's sporting directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund.
"I know that I will have to get up tomorrow morning and talk to Max (Eberl) or Christoph (Freund) - we have to exchange ideas about the squad. But it's not about me. It's about what's right for Leon, the club and the team," journalist Florian Plettenberg quoted Kompany as saying on his X social media page.
The insider also noted that the German midfielder could accept the Spanish club's offer today.
Goretzka has played in 28 games for the club this season and scored one goal. His current contract with the club runs until June 2026. The authoritative Internet portal Transfermarkt estimates the player's market value at 15 million euros.
