Former Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has commented on the team's performance this season after the expensive transfers of forwards Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak, and midfielder Florian Wirtz during the summer transfer window. Sport24.az reports that the German specialist spoke about this on the "The Diary Of A CEO" podcast, which aired on a YouTube channel:
"Isak is a fantastic striker. Wirtz is an incredible talent. If you speak badly about him, the time will come when you will all have to take back your words. Ekitike is an incredible player. Liverpool's squad is very, very, very good.
If the young centre-back hadn't been injured (Giovanni Leoni tore his cruciate ligaments - Ed.), the squad would have been perfect. Two excellent left-backs, a super defender on the right. So, there's no need to worry about Liverpool."
