UK Prime Minister Kir Starmer has called on FIFA to sell tickets for the 2026 World Cup at a more affordable price. Sport24.az reports that he shared a post on the social media account "X":
"I welcome FIFA's announcement to lower ticket prices. But as someone who used to save money for tickets, I urge the organization to do more to sell tickets at truly reasonable prices and not lose touch with real fans who want to go to the World Cup."
It should be noted that earlier, the European Football Supporters Association (FSA) demanded that FIFA stop selling tickets due to high prices. After that, the price of some tickets dropped tenfold.
