Bayern Munich captain Joshua Kimmich shared his thoughts on the first leg (6:1) against Atalanta in the round of 16 of the 2025/2026 Champions League season.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the official UEFA website that the experienced footballer is satisfied with his team's performance:
"We needed about five minutes to fully get into the game. After that, we started creating dangerous situations one after another. We knew we could create serious problems for the opponent. Despite the team losing 1:6, I have never seen the fans cheer on their players with such enthusiasm. This is impressive and says a lot about the atmosphere in this stadium and the fans."
It should be noted that the return match between Bayern and Atalanta will take place on March 18.
