PSG has announced the latest status regarding winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's health, who was injured in the Champions League round of 8 match against Newcastle, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Idman.Biz reports, citing the club's official website, that the Georgian footballer was substituted in the middle of the first half due to injury.
PSG's statement says: "Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who sprained his right ankle in the match against Newcastle, will be out for eight to ten days."
This season, the Georgian attacker has made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing six assists. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029.
According to Transfermarkt, the player's market value is 90 million euros.
The play-off stage of the current Champions League season will be held on February 17-18 and 24-25, 2026. Qarabag's opponent in that stage will be PSG or Newcastle United.
