PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia set a national record in Europe's premier club tournament by scoring three goals in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matches against Chelsea (5:2, 3:0). Sport24.az reports that he has already scored 12 goals in 37 Champions League matches, becoming the first Georgian footballer to reach double digits in Europe's most prestigious tournament.
Kvaratskhelia has also scored 10 goals for PSG and two for Napoli.
Among Georgians, Kakha Kaladze, Levan Kobiashvili, and Giorgi Demetradze have distinguished themselves in the Champions League, each with 3 goals to their name.
It should be noted that the 25-year-old footballer has appeared in 36 matches in all tournaments this season, scoring 12 goals and providing 7 assists.
