"I am very happy to be invited to the national team again." These words were said to Sport24.az by Khayal Aliyev, a football player of the Azerbaijan national team.
He shared his thoughts on the team's friendly matches against Latvia in Riga on June 7 and Hungary in Baku 3 days later:
"If given a chance, I intend to show myself in a good light. We want to win these matches. Even if they are friendly matches, that is our goal."
Aliyev also spoke about his career: "This season was successful for me. I was invited to the national team for the first time. I won the Azerbaijan Cup with Sabah. I am very happy about these."
He also said that he wants to continue his career abroad: "I don't know if there is an offer from abroad. If there is, I will probably go. We have many goals. God willing, we will achieve them all."
