"Khankendi" will play for the championship in the Azerbaijan II League this season.
This was stated by Tural Qurbatov, one of the leading players of the team, in his statement to "Report".
The experienced football player evaluated the first game they played in the national championship - against "Dinamo":
"I congratulate our team. We won a historic victory. We started the first half well, but we couldn't take advantage of many goal opportunities. It's normal because it's our first game. Because some of our players are not playing for certain reasons. I'm happy that I scored in the first game. I hope it continues and we play for the championship. We approach all opponents the same way. In general, opponents always come out with a different enthusiasm against teams playing for the championship. I witnessed this last year as well. We must be prepared for this, we must work with all our strength for every game. Even though we had difficulties, we became champions. Our road is long, I hope we will celebrate the championship this year as well".
It should be noted that "Khankendi" defeated "Dinamo" with a score of 4:0 in the first round of the national championship. T. Qurbatov scored in the 76th minute.
