The 6th round of the II League was marked by a big victory of "Khankendi".
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League (PFL) that the debutant, who was a guest of "Araz-Saatlı", won with a score of 14:0.
This is the biggest victory in the history of competitions held under the flag of the PFL. Since 2008, no one has won with a difference of 14 goals in the Premier League, I League, II League, Reserve League, National Cup and Super Cup.
"Khankendi"'s 14:0 victory over "Araz Saatlı" is the repetition of the second largest result for professional and semi-professional tournaments of independent Azerbaijan in general (excluding the games of the II League in the last century).
Only once there was a bigger difference in the national championship and cup. In the 1993/94 season, in the duel of teams competing in the I division, Sumgayit representative "Metallurg" defeated "Goytepe" with a score of 15:0.
The score of 14:0 has been recorded for the 3rd time. Both previous victories were signed by "Shafa", and these successes were achieved in the national cup. In the 1997/98 season, HHQ IK, and in the 2003/04 season, "Shafa" scored 14 unanswered goals in the match with "Lider Karabakh". With the victory over Saatlı representative, "Khankendi" repeated the 21st century record set by "Shafa" 22 years ago.
