"Warner Bros", one of the world's largest film and television production companies, has filed a lawsuit against Fenerbahçe forward Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the Istanbul Intellectual and Industrial Property Court.
According to İdman.Biz, the newspaper "Sabah" reports about this.
The lawsuit was filed because the footballer allegedly used visual images and audio materials from the "Harry Potter" film series on social media without permission. In its claim, Warner Bros. states that many terms such as "Harry Potter", "Hogwarts" and "Gryffindor" are patented in Turkey and have high commercial value. The company believes that Aktürkoğlu violated copyright by using the images without permission. The lawsuit also states that the investigation should be carried out without prior warning to the player.
Aktürkoğlu has played 11 games for Fenerbahçe in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
