Dias Toleu, a 19-year-old footballer from the Kazakh club "Khan-Tengri", died after feeling unwell during the 25th round match of the Kazakhstan Championship First League against the "Ekibastuz" team.
Lent.az reports that the information about the incident was released by the Kazakhstan Football Federation.
The game took place yesterday. In the 62nd minute of the game, Toleu first sat down on the field, and then lay down on the grass. After a while, the team's doctor entered the field, but the footballer's condition worsened and he could not get up. Toleu was carried off the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
After the game, the Kazakhstan Football Federation announced on social networks that Toleu had died. The cause of the midfielder's death has not yet been announced. According to the Federation, a special commission will be created in the near future to investigate the incident, and this work will be carried out jointly with the relevant authorities.
Dias Toleu was a graduate of Almaty's "Kayrat" club. This season he played 25 games for "Khan-Tengri", scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists.
