– I congratulate "Neftchi". Unfortunately, we cannot appreciate the episodes. We have goal situations. We concede goals from individual mistakes. It seems that we lack composure in our episodes. We have to work. We must eliminate mistakes. It is a disappointing defeat. It could have been different if we could turn the episodes into goals.
– Can the game be divided into two parts: before and after Abubakara?
– Abubakar is a good football player. We just have to look at our game. We should pay attention to ourselves, not Abubakara. The arrival of such football players raises the level of the championship.
– After each game, the opposing head coaches say that "Gabala" plays well and they like the style of play. Do you yourself like the team's game?
– We see the game. But the important thing is points. We have to earn points. During my career, I have never worked in a team that plays to stay in the top league. My clubs have always fought for high places. It is difficult for me in this regard. We met and talked with the club president. We are good in terms of the game, but luck is not on our side either. Today, "Neftchi" scored 2 goals from 2 episodes. But we wasted opportunities. I promised that I will do my best to keep the team in the league. We will be patient, if we have agreed, we will stay in our position until the end of this job.
– Samir Abasov's most successful period as a football player was during your time at Inter. When analyzing his team today, do you see your influence?
– I thank Samir Abasov. We talk to him often. I am happy for him that he has grown well as a coach. There are young, well-trained coaches in Azerbaijan. We, on the other hand, must focus our attention on our team.
