– It was a very difficult game, as we expected. "Neftchi" is a team that plays for the championship. We learned our lesson from the last game. We learned from our mistakes, trained well and came to this match. We knew that "Neftchi" would come to the field to win. We achieved our goal and got our point.

– You have worked in the Czech III League. Can you compare that championship with the Azerbaijan Premier League?

– It is impossible to compare. The Azerbaijan Premier League is of course superior to the Czech III League.

– Have you met with your compatriot Fernando Santos since you came here?

– He came to one of our test matches. We met there. But we didn't have such a wide-ranging conversation about Azerbaijani football.

– You face ambitious opponents in the first three rounds. Can it be said that you were unlucky in the draw?

– We knew that three difficult games awaited us. Knowing this, we were preparing the team. As you can see, "Imishli" did not lag behind any opponent. Our preparation went well. "Sabah" is a team that plays fast football. We will prepare against them both physically and psychologically.

– There is a feeling of stumbling in double fights in your team. How will you eliminate this?

– Our team is well prepared physically. We have many young players. Such cases can be observed. But this does not mean that our players are physically weak. We are working on the shortcomings.
