"Despite the fact that "Shaki City" is a II League team, they have players with Premier League experience in their squad". These words were said by the head coach of "Karvan-Yevlakh" Azer Hashimov in his statement to Sport24.az.
The head coach of the team that won against "Shaki City" in the 2nd qualifying round of the Azerbaijan Cup commented on the match:
"When we were leading 1:0 in the game, we had goal opportunities, but we couldn't take advantage of them. Instead, the opponent scored. I told my players to be calm and collected. After the red card, we scored two goals and won. This victory can be a stimulus for us in the championship. Football is built on mistakes. Every team has its own gaps. We feel gaps in our defense line. We will eliminate this. In the game with "Turan Tovuz", when we were leading with a score of 1:0, the opponent had no chance to score. Again, we had an injured player. In the end, we finished the match with a defeat."
It should be noted that the meeting ended with a 3:1 victory for "Karvan-Yevlakh".
