Stavros Dimosthenous, president of the Cypriot football club "Karmiotissa", was shot.
Lent.az reports, citing foreign media, that the incident occurred on the Limassol highway. An unknown motorcyclist opened fire on Dimosthenous' car. Before the incident, a minibus blocked his car.
The president of the "Karmiotissa" club died on the way to the medical facility from gunshot wounds.
Police officers are working at the scene, and the highway is closed.
It should be noted that according to the results of the past season, the Cypriot club "Karmiotissa" was relegated from the first division of the national championship to a lower league.
