Brazilian national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti has named the best players he has managed during his coaching career. Sport24.az reports that the 66-year-old Italian specialist spoke about this in Gary Lineker's podcast:
"Goalkeepers? Peruzzi, Dida, Petr Čech, Neuer, Casillas, Courtois. And I forgot a few. When I started working at Parma, there was Buffon. The best defenders? In England, my heart belongs to John Terry. I can also name Carvalho, Jaap Stam, Maldini, Nesta, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Varane. They were incredible guys. Who were the best midfielders? Pirlo, Xabi Alonso, Luka Modrić, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, Lampard, Ballack and also Essien at Chelsea. Arturo Vidal, Seedorf, Gattuso and Ambrosini should not be forgotten either."
The Italian specialist also noted that only Gary Lineker in attack is missing from this list. The former England international greeted Ancelotti's joke with laughter.
